I didn’t resign, ignore media hogwash — Abia State APC Publicity Secretary

The Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress in Abia State Dr. Okey Ezeala has dispelled the recent rumors about his resignation.

Speaking after a closed-door meeting with the National Welfare Secretary and key National Working Committee (NWC) members in Abuja early Tuesday 15th July 2025, the party chieftain dismissed the flying resignation letter as a fake document without date and signature by desperate politicians who wants to benefit from possible internal wranglings within Abia APC over time past.

In Dr. Ezeala’s words ” The fact that our detractors want me to resign and possibly join them is a given wish, but going as far as fabricating a fake scenario is nothing but a sheer desperation. I am and has been the only congress-elected Publicity Secretary of APC in Abia and It will be irresponsible for a foundation member to leave a house he built from scratch for new comers.

In my local government, I’ve produced the House of Representatives member who is currently the deputy speaker. I’ve also produced the only APC Senator from Abia, so it’s understandable when people go extra mile for us — but there should be a limit to rascality”

The news of Dr. Ezeala’s possible resignation had recently shaped political opinions across Abia airwaves, given his record of political mastery and media dominance since the emergence of the All Progressives Congress in 2015.
